nScenic Rivers Health Services, in partnership with Bigfork Valley Hospital, is seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Physician to provide high quality, patient centered emergency medical care in a rural, community focused setting. Bigfork Valley is a Critical Access Hospital serving northeastern Minnesota.
nThis role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to manage a broad range of emergent conditions with limited on-site specialty support, and a commitment to serving a rural community with professionalism and compassion. The ER Physician stabilizes and treats patients presenting with acute illness or injury, coordinates transfers when higher-level care is required, and collaborates closely with nursing, EMS, and ancillary staff to ensure safe, timely, and effective care.
nBigfork Valley Hospital is licensed for 20 inpatient beds and 4 ER bays with an annual volume of 1530 Emergency Room visits per year. The average inpatient census is 2 patients per day.
nThis position will be employed by Scenic Rivers Clinic which is adjoined to the Bigfork Valley Hospital and will be required to see acute visits as needed and available.
nYou will join a collaborative team of physicians who provide both ER coverage and clinic services, ensuring seamless care for the community.
nEMR: Bigfork Valley and the Scenic Rivers clinic use EPIC. All necessary EMR training will be tailored to your individual needs.

nnnExperience in Emergency Medicine and Acute care settings, preferably in a rural setting
n
nnCurrent or eligible for MN License
n
nnDEA license
n
nnBoard Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine
n
nnLife support certifications: BLS and CALS or ATLS required; PALS, ACLS and NRP preferred
n
nnAbility to work independently and manage a wide range of emergent conditions with limited specialty backup
