Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid-level Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Associate Attorney in New York, New York. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in emerging companies and venture capital work, with a focus on start-ups and emerging growth companies.
Duties
Advise start-ups and emerging growth companies on seed and venture capital financings.
Conduct venture financings using NVCA documents.
Manage domestic M&A transactions for startup companies and investors.
Maintain and develop client and counsel relationships.
Requirements
4-6 years of experience in emerging companies and venture capital work.
Experience with public offerings and venture financings.
Proactive with strong business acumen.
Admitted to the state bar or eligible to waive in.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
State Bar admission.
Skills
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong legal problem-solving skills and judgment.
Ability to manage complex transactions and client relationships.
