Job description
Build Something Meaningful from the Ground Up
Coachella Valley Anesthesia, in partnership with Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, is launching a new pediatric anesthesia program and seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist to help establish and grow this important service line. This is a unique opportunity to shape a program from its foundation while joining a strong, well-supported anesthesia team within a rapidly expanding regional hospital.
Position Highlights
Opportunity to help build and lead a new pediatric anesthesia service line
Leadership and program development opportunities from day one
Full pediatric case mix in a busy, growing hospital environment
Dedicated specialty support teams including cardiac, OB, and regional anesthesia
Strong administrative and clinical infrastructure supporting program launch and growth
Employed position with long-term stability and organizational support
Annual salary of $650,000
6 weeks of paid time off
Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits
Malpractice insurance provided
Opportunity for additional income through participation in the general anesthesia schedule (optional)
Call Responsibilities
One weekday of pediatric call per week
One weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday) of pediatric call per month
Additional general anesthesia call opportunities available for physicians interested in increasing earnings, but participation is not required
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology required
Eligible for or active California medical licensure
