nPosition Overview:
nProvides quality direct patient care and assists in the coordination of department services. Patient care may include evaluating, treating, care management, referral coordination and follow-up with specialists, and health education. This role provides training to medical staff and instructs and counsels patients.

nJOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
nnnCollect, record and maintain patient information including medical history, reports and examination results.

nnPrescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury.
n
nnAdvise, patients, family and community members concerning treatment and prevention.
n
nnExamine patients or order, perform and/r interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on medical conditions and determine diagnoses.
n
nnRefer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
n
n nEDUCATION:
nEquivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
nDoctorate: Graduate of an accredited medical school
nOther: Successful completion of a medical residency program.
nOther: Successful completion of a medical internship program.
nTYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
n8 years recent relevant experience.
nCERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
nMD-Doctor of Medicine Upon Hire
nOR DO-Doctor of Osteopathy of California Upon Hire
nCSRC-Controlled Substance Registered Certification (DEA) Upon Hire
nBLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Upon Hire
nBoard eligible or Board certified in area of specialty Upon Hire
nACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire
nNRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider Upon Hire
nDEPARTMENT REQUIRED CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

nPay Range is $2,080.00 to $1,040,000.00 / annual salary
nThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health's comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
