Employee Benefits Account Manager

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Employee Benefits Account Manager to serve as a primary point of contact for clients, offering strategic support in managing employee benefits programs. The role requires a passion for relationship management, expertise in employee benefits, and the ability to deliver tailored solutions to meet the needs of a diverse client base.

Responsibilities:

Act as the primary account manager for assigned client accounts, understanding business needs and delivering comprehensive employee benefit strategies.

Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships by providing exceptional customer service and support.

Consult with clients to assess employee benefits needs, recommend solutions, and assist with program implementation.

Serve as a liaison between clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and resolution of inquiries.

Prepare and present proposals, policy renewals, and enrollment materials with attention to accuracy and timeliness.

Stay informed on trends, marketplace changes, and regulatory requirements related to employee benefits to provide clients with expert guidance.

Conduct open enrollment meetings and provide training for employees on available benefit options.

Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance client satisfaction, and contribute to team success.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align organizational goals and ensure consistent service delivery to clients.

Manage account renewals, provide claims support, and oversee benefit plan administration throughout the lifecycle of each client partnership.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

Proven experience as an account manager or equivalent role in the employee benefits or insurance industry.

Skills: Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously.

Attention to detail and commitment to providing quality service and solutions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM systems.

Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to effectively address client concerns.

Certifications/Licenses: Life and Health Insurance License strongly preferred or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.

CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) designation is a plus.

Other: Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in dealing with sensitive information.
