Job description

Overview

The Employee Growth & Development Specialist utilizes knowledge of adult learning theory, curriculum development, learning technologies and tools, process development and improvement, as well as program effectiveness and metrics tracking, to create and lead successful learning and development initiatives that support employee growth and development.

Duties & Responsibilities

Collaborate with Learning, Human Resources, and organizational leaders to define and design scalable, employee growth training, including the scope, objectives, and learning lifecycle for employee growth and development

Curates and customizes learning courses and programs to meet both the tactical and strategic objectives of the organization and intended employee groups

Conducts and coordinates employee training experiences (onsite and virtual) to support internal teams

Develops, evaluates, and continuously improves training programs to keep current with current technology, development approaches, new learning modalities, and training audience needs

Effectively communicates learning leading practices for internal training programs that support learning outcomes across the organization

Monitors the effectiveness of learning initiatives and proactively recommends improvements

Develops and provides metrics to leadership on learning strategy and outcomes

Facilitate core-skills development and leadership training

Keep a working knowledge of symplr products to curate product training into employee growth learning paths, as applicable

Continuously grows functional and industry knowledge through training, research, and collaboration

Adopts and develops department operational standards and procedures to maximize team efficiencies

Other duties as assigned

Communicates effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of an organization

Demonstrates ability to proactively evaluate programs and implement improvement ideas on an ongoing basis

Demonstrates ability to leverage AI tools to improve team processes, streamline workflows, enhance deliverables, and drive operational efficiency

Demonstrates effective communication and critical thinking skills

Possesses a high attention to detail, ensuring program design, content, and success metrics are done with excellence

Change management champion

Works well in a fast paced, innovative environment

Skills Required

Bachelor’s Degree required

Minimum 3+ years of experience in creating and administering employee learning programs required with at least 5 years in leadership development

Experience supporting organizational AI enablement initiatives, including adoption, change management, training, or workforce upskilling efforts

Experience utilizing adult learning theory and application in learning program development

Experience in setting goals, objectives, and metrics around learning programs

Ability to analyze key metrics that indicate a learning initiative’s success and provide concise and meaningful reports to Leadership and Executive teams

Strong presentation, training facilitation, written, and verbal skills

Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications required; proficiency in curriculum development programs and technical acumen strongly preferred

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

This job operates in a remote office-based setting

This position does require travel up to an estimated 25%

This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position

NOTE: Typical work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in their working time zone.
