Job description
EMS Educator RN/Paramedic Registry
This role develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education, and assessment of clinical staff.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.
Designs, delivers, and assesses learning activities and curriculums related to clinical competencies, departmental/organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies.
Serves as a consultant/mentor for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
Participates in the development, coordination, and delivery of new staff orientation and education activities.
Performs other duties as assigned
Required:
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing or Paramedic program.
Current RN licensure or Paramedic
Five years of critical care experience and one year of teaching experience
Two years in course coordination
CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)
CPR-Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
CPR-Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Preferred:
More than five years of critical care experience and more than one year of teaching experience
More than four years in course coordination
Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree
IDPH Instructor
IDPH Lead Instructor within one year of hire
ACLS Instructor
Certified BTLS
Certified PALS Instructor
