Job Summary and Responsibilities: Dignity Health Medical Group - Merced is seeking a full‑time, board‑certified or board‑eligible Endocrinologist to join our growing multispecialty group in Merced, California. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide outpatient and inpatient care while also playing a pivotal role in designing and developing a new solo endocrinology practice, supported by a robust referral network and a highly collaborative clinical team.
Opportunity Highlights
Design and lead a new endocrinology practice.
Outpatient and inpatient care for endocrine conditions including diabetes (type 1, 2, gestational), thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, osteoporosis, and metabolic diseases.
Diagnostic expertise: perform thyroid ultrasounds, biopsies, and imaging interpretation.
Collaborative multidisciplinary team with family medicine, internal medicine, cardiology, and nephrology.
Patient education and lifestyle management.
Flexible scheduling with a Monday‑Friday schedule and limited call requirements.

Job Requirements
MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in endocrinology.
California medical license (or ability to obtain) and DEA certification.
Experience or interest in designing and developing a new endocrinology service line.
Interest in chronic disease management and preventive care.
Excellent communication skills and commitment to team‑based, patient‑centered care.
Ability to work independently and contribute to the establishment of a new endocrinology practice.
