Endocrinologist Physician, UChicago Medicine Medical Group

UChicago Medicine Medical Group seeks an exceptional Endocrinologist for our location in Flossmoor, Illinois.
Responsibilities
Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population
Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions
Refer patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as appropriate
Direct and coordinate the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required
Participate in specified health promotion, education, and prevention programs as appropriate to the position
Apply knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
Apply knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids, prescribing dosages and instructing patients in correct usage
Apply knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements
Apply knowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in the area of expertise
Work both independently and as part of a team
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
Required Skills & Qualifications
Medical License in Illinois
Board-certified or Board-eligible in a specified area of medical specialty
3-5 years of experience preferred
Completed a US residency program

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. The pay range is based on a full‑time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and reflects current market data reviewed annually. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity.
