No Previous Locums Experience Required
PUT YOUR ENDOCRINE EXPERTISE TO WORK Step into a hands-on clinical role where you'll have the opportunity to independently assess and manage patients while collaborating with physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
Responsibilities include:
Complete patient histories and physical examinations
Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing
Formulate diagnoses and individualized treatment plans
Prescribe and manage medications
Monitor treatment response and adjust therapies
Provide ongoing Endocrinology care
Complete consultations and progress notes
Coordinate specialist referrals
Educate patients and families regarding disease processes and treatment
Provide preventive care counseling
Recognize and respond to urgent clinical situations
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
WHAT YOU'LL NEED Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Active Connecticut APRN license
Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration
DEA Registration
AHA BLS
Strong independent clinical decision-making skills
Strong knowledge of Endocrinology disease states and medication management
Preferred: 1+ year of APP experience in Endocrinology or Endocrine Neoplasia.
