Job description
Under minimal supervision, maintains inventory and ensures the availability of complex, delicate endoscopic equipment for surgical procedures.
Responsibilities include performing specialized cleaning, decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of equipment, as well as troubleshooting and providing technical assistance with endoscopic and audiovisual devices.
Coordinates equipment readiness, manages supply ordering and restocking, oversees storage and labeling, and maintains detailed records of inventory, repairs, and expenses.
Assists with maintenance, repairs, and evaluation of new equipment, serving as a resource for equipment use and operations.
Handles billing, vendor inquiries, and contributes to budget planning.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, and certification as a Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT); certification as a Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) is required within one year.
Key skills encompass inventory management, technical troubleshooting, sterilization procedures, and effective communication.
Experience in sterile processing or endoscopic equipment management is preferred.
