Job description
Custom Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Nurse Manager (RN) for a contract opportunity with a hospital in Far Rockaway, New York.
The Endoscopy Nurse Manager will be responsible for the leadership, coordination, and operational oversight of nursing services within the Endoscopy Unit. This position requires a strong clinical leader with endoscopy, operating room, and management experience who can ensure high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient department operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff within the Endoscopy Unit
Oversee staffing, scheduling, training, performance management, and daily department operations
Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered endoscopy services
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention standards, Joint Commission requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines
Monitor patient outcomes and support quality improvement initiatives
Maintain departmental policies, procedures, documentation, equipment, inventory, and supplies
Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, nursing leadership, and multidisciplinary teams
Support departmental budgeting, resource utilization, and cost-effective operational practices
Provide operational oversight of the Endoscopy Unit, including responsibility for unit needs outside of regular business hours as required
Schedule and Department Operations
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
The manager is expected to be present when the unit opens and remain through completion of scheduled cases
The Endoscopy Unit is currently operational two days per week
When the Endoscopy Unit is closed, the manager will provide support within the Main Operating Room as needed
Position includes 24/7 oversight responsibility for the department
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
Experience
Minimum of 3–5 years of nursing experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Endoscopy or Gastroenterology setting
At least 1 year of management experience within an Endoscopy department
Main Operating Room experience, including scrubbing and circulating
Licensure and Certifications
Active New York State RN license
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
CGRN certification preferred
Additional Qualifications

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory, quality, and patient safety standards
