St. Francis has regularly out-scored other hospitals on Long Island.St. Francis Hospital is dedicated to providing a supportive environment, committed to the highest standards of patient care, where health care professionals can develop their expertise and strengthen their credentials.The Endoscopy Technician prepares, maintains, and operates specialized equipment while assisting physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures.Responsibilities:Set up, sterilize, and troubleshoot endoscopesPass instruments during procedures (e.g., colonoscopies)Handle pathology specimens, monitor patient vitals, and clean/restock suites post-procedureRequirements:High School Diploma/GEDCertified Endoscopy Technician (CET)REQUIRED credentialBasic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart AssociationExperience-1–2 years in healthcare preferredMust know infection control, medical terminology, and have the physical stamina to stand for long periodsVariable shifts, including required evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call hours.The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.At Catholic Health, we believe in a people-first approach.
