Job description
Endoscopy TechnicianInspects and functionally operates all Endoscopy equipment, electric power instruments and audiovisual equipment to insure optimum safety and performance. Prepares purchase requisitions and disposition of storeroom supplies. Is responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory, processing and maintenance of instruments, scopes and equipment. Processes associated paperwork and maintains records on all equipment. Assists the physician and nurse in the procedure rooms of the Endoscopy Suite under the direction of the Patient Care Director or designee.Location: Englewood, NJStatus: FT Shift: Days Hours: 8am-6pm flex (10hr shifts) - On call weekend rotations approx. 8-10 times per year requiredJob Essentials:A minimum of two (2) years of related experience preferredKnowledge of endoscopy equipment, aseptic technique, and high-level disinfection methods requiredDemonstrates excellent communication skills and rapport in all interactionsStrong service excellence skills and must be a team playerEducation Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical School, SGNA GI Technical specialist course or equivalent experience preferredCertifications:CEFR (CBSPD) or CER (HSPA) certification required within 2 years of hire and maintained throughout employment.Compensation Range: $24.00 - $30.00/Hour
