Endoscopy Technician Full TimeNorthfield Surgical Endoscopy Center is a state-of-the-art outpatient facility specializing in colon cancer screening and gastroenterology procedures. Our center has been designed to provide the ultimate in medical technology and quality, along with efficiency and convenience for patients and their families. Our mission is to provide coordinated, safe delivery of care for endoscopy patients while maintaining the highest standards of professional service.We are currently seeking a dedicated Endoscopy Technician for a full-time position to work Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will collaborate with perioperative registered nurses and physicians to provide individualized, age-specific care to patients and maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist physicians during endoscopic procedures with technical expertise and precisionPrepare procedure rooms before and after each patient encounterPerform high-level disinfection of endoscopes and equipment while maintaining strict infection control standardsAssist with specimen collection as directed by physiciansMaintain inventory control and ensure proper stocking of procedure roomsPerform efficient room turnovers between patientsComplete thorough housekeeping duties to maintain a clean environmentProvide compassionate patient care during admission, recovery, and discharge processesRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED certificateCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationMinimum 6 months of experience working in a healthcare setting a MUSTExperience in an endoscopy setting preferred but we will train the right candidateThorough knowledge of medical terminologyDemonstrated understanding of aseptic techniques and infection prevention proceduresAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentPreferred QualificationsBilingual proficiency (English/Spanish/Russian a plus)Additional healthcare training or certificationFull-time position with schedule Monday-Friday with one a month Saturday availability required.
