HCA Healthcare has committed up to $300 million in programs to support our incredible team members over the course of three years.Job Summary and QualificationsAs an Endoscopy Technician, you'll play an important role in helping provide safe, effective procedures to patients undergoing GI and endoscopy procedures. Your careful work preparing equipment and maintaining a clean, well-organized environment will help protect patients and empower caregivers to deliver on our shared mission to improve more lives in more ways.Your responsibilities will include:Preparing procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment, verifying equipment is in proper working order, and keeping supplies organized and stockedHelping position and transport patients safely and comfortably while using proper body mechanics to protect both patients and yourselfSupporting physicians and nurses during procedures, including handling instruments, collecting specimens, and following proper safety practicesCleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopy equipment, and keeping accurate records for quality and safetyCommunicating with kindness and compassion to patients and families, keeping them informed, and supporting their privacy and comfort throughout their careWhat qualifications you will need:Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateHigh School Graduate / GEDCompletion of on-the-job training demonstrating the ability to assist the physicianBenefitsRapides Regional Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
