As an Endoscopy Technician - PRN with Medical City Alliance you can be a part of an organization that is devoted to giving back!Job Summary and QualificationsAs an Endoscopy Technician, you'll play an important role in helping provide safe, effective procedures to patients undergoing GI and endoscopy procedures. Your careful work preparing equipment and maintaining a clean, well-organized environment will help protect patients and empower caregivers to deliver on our shared mission to improve more lives in more ways.Your responsibilities will include:Preparing procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment, verifying equipment is in proper working order, and keeping supplies organized and stockedHelping position and transport patients safely and comfortably while using proper body mechanics to protect both patients and yourselfSupporting physicians and nurses during procedures, including handling instruments, collecting specimens, and following proper safety practicesCleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopy equipment, and keeping accurate records for quality and safetyCommunicating with kindness and compassion to patients and families, keeping them informed, and supporting their privacy and comfort throughout their careWhat Qualifications You Will Need:ExperienceOne year of endoscopy experience required.Licenses, Registrations and/or CertificationsBLS required from an HCA approved vendor.
