Endoscopy Technician PRNBaylor Scott & White Endoscopy Center at Sherman is hiring a PRN Endoscopy Technician!*Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, nights or calls*At Baylor Scott & White Endoscopy Center at Sherman, we believe health and care are inseparable. We focus on offering a high quality, service oriented environment for your surgical procedure.The Endoscopy Technician operates under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during both simple and complex endoscopic procedures. The physician, registered nurse, and GI technician collaborate in the procedure room to create ideal conditions for achieving positive patient outcomes. The GI technician is also responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining endoscopes and other instruments. Additional duties of the GI technician include managing patient flow, preparing the room for procedures, stocking supplies, ordering materials, and handling various clerical tasks.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of 1 year of experience in a GI LabPrevious experience in an ambulatory surgical center or surgical hospital preferredCurrent BLS required, ACLS preferredAt USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
