A law firm seeks an experienced Energy and Climate Solutions Associate in Los Angeles, CA. The role focuses on clean energy project development, requiring expertise in crafting and negotiating key contracts and commercial agreements. The ideal candidate will engage in project and portfolio acquisitions and financing support across various energy sectors.
Duties
Craft and negotiate power purchase agreements and energy service contracts.
Work on framework commercial agreements and joint venture transactions.
Serve as the primary associate on project and portfolio acquisitions.
Adapt commercial structures for diverse energy projects and buyers.
Engage in direct client communication and project management.
Requirements
3rd to 7th year associate with a transactional focus in the energy sector.
Strong communication and project management skills.
Interest in developing expertise in energy project offtake transactions.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Active bar membership in good standing.
Skills
Proficiency in negotiating and structuring energy contracts.
Ability to work with diverse energy technologies and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
