A law firm seeks an experienced Energy and Climate Solutions Associate to join their team in Seattle, WA. The role focuses on clean energy project development, requiring expertise in crafting and negotiating key contracts and transactions within the energy sector.
Duties
Craft and negotiate power purchase agreements and energy service contracts.
Work on framework commercial agreements and joint venture transactions.
Serve as the primary associate on project and portfolio acquisitions.
Provide financing support for energy projects.
Adapt commercial structures for various energy projects and buyers.
Engage in direct client contact and manage projects effectively.
Requirements
3rd to 7th year associate with a transactional focus in the energy sector.
Strong communication and project management skills.
Interest in developing expertise in energy project offtake transactions.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
Skills
Proficiency in negotiating and structuring energy transactions.
Ability to work with diverse energy technologies and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
