Title: Building Management System (BMS) Senior Engineer
Location: Lehigh Valley, PA
Schedule: Fully on-site
Employment Type: 6-month contract (re-occurring, opportunity to convert)
Position Summary
Brooksource Engineering Services is seeking a Building Management System (BMS) Engineer to support the startup of a new Parenteral Device Manufacturing facility in Lehigh Valley, PA. This consultant will provide technical leadership for BMS architecture, controls integration, commissioning support, vendor management, and operational readiness activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve BMS architecture, network topology, controls designs, and integration strategies.
- Evaluate points lists, graphics, alarm management, trending, and sequence of operations.
- Provide oversight of Johnson Controls, Rockwell Automation, and system integration partners.
- Review vendor drawings, software configurations, and control panel designs.
- Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, startup, and qualification activities.
- Troubleshoot control system and integration issues identified during startup.
- Drive technical resolution of RFIs, deficiencies, deviations, and design changes.
- Support turnover, maintenance readiness, and lifecycle management planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, or Automation Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience supporting BMS, BAS, controls, or automation systems.
- Strong understanding of HVAC controls, industrial networking, and integrated facility systems.
- Experience supporting commissioning and qualification in regulated environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys.
- Experience with Rockwell Automation platforms.
- Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device manufacturing experience.
- Greenfield startup project experience.
