Job description
The City of Twin Falls is seeking an Engineer-in-Training to join our Engineering team and help plan, design, andmanage public infrastructure projects throughout our community.
This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer who wants hands‑on experience with real municipal projects.You’ll work alongside licensed Professional Engineers on projects involving streets, water and sewer systems,irrigation, pipelines, airport infrastructure, subdivisions, stormwater systems, and other public improvements.

What You’ll Do
Help manage capital improvement and public works projects from design through construction
Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, bid documents, and cost estimates
Work with consultants, contractors, developers, and regulatory agencies
Review subdivision, street, water, sewer, stormwater, and irrigation plans
Conduct field inspections and help resolve construction issues
Assist with contracts, change orders, project budgets, and invoices
Provide engineering support to City departments
Prepare reports, correspondence, and presentations
Assist residents, developers, and contractors with engineering‑related questions
Pay & Benefits
$31.00 – $45.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
Full-time, non‑exempt position

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Certified Engineer Intern (EI) / Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT)
Valid driver’s license
Work Environment
This position includes both office and field work. Field work may include construction sites, project inspections,
walking over uneven terrain, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
