Ensure engineering representation in applicable SQDCP, production, RFQ, sales-order review, and operational planning meetings.

Quality Leadership

Lead quality operations and quality-system execution for Alloy Engineering.

Ensure inspection activities, quality records, nonconformance documentation, and corrective actions are completed accurately and promptly.

Lead and manager the Material Review Board process and ensure appropriate participation from engineering, quality, manufacturing, and operations.

Own internal NCR and customer-impacting quality-escape management, ensuring timely containment, MRB review where applicable, root-cause analysis, corrective action, communication, and prevention of recurrence.

Partner with operations to reduce internal defects, supplier defects, rework, scrap, customer complaints, and cost of poor quality.

Ensure quality personnel have the technical training, inspection tools, documentation, and organizational support required to perform effectively.

Codes, Standards, and Quality Systems

Provide leadership oversight for Alloy’s ASME-related engineering, code, compliance, welding, and quality requirements through the ASME Code and Compliance Engineer.

Coordinate with Corporate Compliance regarding document control, internal audits, external audits, certification requirements, and corrective actions.

Support the development of ASME engineering capability and the training of future ASME-qualified engineers.

Welding and Technical Support

Provide leadership oversight for welding-engineering activities and related technical documentation.

Support weld-school activities, welding training, and technical knowledge transfer.

Cross-Functional and Customer Support

Partner closely with the Director of Operations, plant leadership, integrated operations, manufacturing, sales, purchasing, project management, and finance.

Participate in daily operational reviews to identify customer commitments, technical risks, quality concerns, and jobs requiring escalation.

Support customer meetings, technical reviews, audits, and issue-resolution discussions.

Balance customer requirements, technical integrity, manufacturability, capacity, delivery commitments, and cost.
