Job description
Position Title: Engineer Systems IIILocation: Newport, RIClearance required: SECRETScope of Work: Provides senior engineering support and technical leadership for network, telephone, and media infrastructure design, integration, and feasibility studies across NUWCDIVNPT and remote sites.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Lead network, telephone, and media engineering design and system integrationDesign classified and unclassified network and VTC architectures and security controlsConduct feasibility studies, cost/benefit analyses, and improvement recommendationsProvide senior technical review of engineering deliverablesThis position is designated Key Personnel. Incumbent must be a DoD-Approved Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 3 individual (for example CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP or Associate, GCED, or GCIH).Minimum education, years of experience, and skills in accordance with the NUWCDIVNPT labor category description for this position and level.Senior engineering expertise in network, telephone, or media systemsPersonnel supporting the classified and unclassified network infrastructure must hold the certifications required to support the systems in accordance with SECNAV M-5239.2Must hold a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Linux+, and Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Protection training
