Job SummaryPerform a combination of preventative maintenance, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical maintenance throughout property.How You Will Create the ExtraordinaryImplement routine maintenance and urgent repair works in accordance with sound engineering practices and occupational health and safety regulations. Closely monitor the effects of servicing and maintenance on their condition wherever possible. Ensure that all records of maintenance and testing are kept.Minimum three years' experience as a general building repair technician preferably involved in hospitality industryMust have knowledge in carpentryWorked in the Engineering or Facilities department in relation to general building maintenancePerform preventive maintenance of all mechanical equipmentCircuit breaker resetBasic plumbing repairsRespond to Maximo WO'sKeep daily logsSupport eventsExemplify our core values, family style service, our mission and visionExemplify our DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) culturePerform other job-related duties as assignedWhat You Will NeedExcellent communication skillsAbility to understand and comply with all hotel and departmental rules, regulations, policies and proceduresSkill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staffRead, write, and communicate verbally in EnglishAbility to perform basic mathWorking knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipmentPrevious experience in Engineering or Facilities in relation to general building maintenanceMinimum three years' experience as a general building repair technician preferably involved in hospitality industryHigh School diploma or equivalentADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSRequires 90% mobility to include frequent standing, bending and reaching from floor to 6ft., climbing using ladders and stairsOperating equipment such as scissor lifts, forklift, pallet jackTransporting, pushing, pulling, lifting and maneuvering large loads weighing up to 100 lbs.Use of hand and power toolsRequires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterityRequires normal sense of smell, touch, and soundRequires normal vision range and the ability to distinguish letters and symbolsRequires communicating by telephone, beeper, and radioGUEST SERVICE (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL) STANDARDS: Employee is required to meet and deliver our core values, service standards, and family style service.PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests.
