Engineered Wood Products Designer – Hubbard, OH

nJob Summary:
nThe EWP designer position is a full-time time position working at our Hubbard branch . They design residential and light commercial engineered wood floor and roof systems. This designer will work closely with the retail lumber dealer and their builder. Individual will report to the head of the EWP department. Product training is provided.
nResponsibilities:
nnWork directly with the design team
nDesign engineered wood products such as I-joist, wood beams and connectors into residential and commercial blueprints.
nProvide customer support answering questions about personal designs and/or other team member designs.
nIdentify and recommend the best products to customers for their specific job application.
nUtilize provided design software to interpret residential and commercial blueprints into structural placement estimate plans.
nRespond to customer and associate inquiries as needed to sell, train, and support engineered wood products.
n nQualifications:
nnBasic knowledge of architecture and/or CAD Systems
nStrong math skills
nStrong written and oral communication skills
nMust be well organized and good at multi-tasking
nOutgoing and professional personality, with a “can do” attitude
