Role Description
We are seeking Engineering candidates for a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role oversees technical infrastructure that supports picture finishing, sound mixing, ADR, Avid editorial suites, and dailies, ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and optimized for high-performance post-production workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Network & Infrastructure
Administer and optimize network performance for facility and remote requirements
As needed, provide network related sales engineering support for co-workers and clients (e.g. explaining networking or technical needs etc.)
Ability to deploy and maintain firewalls for onsite and remote use cases a plus
Support Linux configuration and deployment of services
Manage Open Drives storage hardware; improve reliance and performance
Identify opportunities / paths to continuously improve networking performance and media work flows
Tech-Ops & Applications
Deploy and support a range of hardware and software capabilities, including: Open Drives SAN, Network Switches, Firewalls, Rukos WAP, and Adder/Avocent KVM’s
Support and trouble-shoot (as required) implementations of all current and future state application systems, including: DaVinci Resolve, Colorfront Transkoder and EXD, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Avid, WAN transfer applications and Sohonet products
Maintain/support computer OS systems, including Linux, MacOSX and Windows Servers
Stand-up, configure / calibrate color reference monitors, DCI compliant projectors and theater audio systems
Execute video routing and color grading room setups
Provide rapid response engineering support for all internal, external and client facing needs
Skills Required
5+ years of directly relevant experience
Experience working with PCoIP clients
Depth of experience with Bash, Powershell, and/or equivalent scripting experience a plus
Demonstrated experience working with Resolve systems, Aspera or Signiant Media Shuttle products, and Avid hardware and software (Nexis, MediaComposer) offerings
Knowledge of Dolby Vision color processing pipeline a plus
Bias for action and ability to deliver mission critical support in a timely manner
C apable of managing / contributing to several projects at once
Fosters strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and clients
Strong writing and verbal skills, particularly in communicating technical processes in a non-technical manner
Basic C++ knowledge is a plus, but not required

Position Type & Expected Hours of Work
This position is a full time position on prem position with some WFH capabilities. The position can work both a standard business and after-hours operating schedule; shift assignments and/or weekend work are frequently required.
