Concord Road Elementary School is seeking an innovative and student-centered part-time (.4) Teacher of English as a New Language (ENL) for the school year.
NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
The English as a New Language teacher/teacher of Multilingual Learners will provide targeted language instruction and support to multilingual learners in grades K-4. Additionally, the teacher will collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure students receive appropriate language development instruction aligned with their individual needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid New York State certification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)
Experience working with elementary-aged multilingual learners preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Commitment to supporting equity, inclusion, and the academic success of all learners
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Part-time position: 0.4 (across five days a week)
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Delivering direct ENL services to identified students in Kindergarten through fourth grade
Developing and implementing language acquisition goals based on students' English proficiency levels
Collaborating with classroom teachers to support content-area learning and differentiation
Monitoring student progress and maintaining required documentation
Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of instructional plans
EVALUATION:
Performance will be evaluated annually using the same method as teachers.
