Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant - ScribeMountain View Hospital is looking to hire a Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant - Scribe to join our team!Job Summary: Provide service excellence based on patient care and patient relationships. Functions as an effective team member with teamwork being the core approach whether doing order entry or providing patient care. Enters Provider medication and lab orders accurately and efficiently. Uses computer applications 2. Answers telephones 3. Greets patients 4. Updates and files patient medical records 5. Codes and fills out insurance forms 6. Schedules appointments 7. Arranges for hospital admissions and laboratory services 8. Handles correspondence, billing, and bookkeeping 9. Performs all administrative duties in a clinic or office May perform below clinical duties-under the responsibility and direct supervision of licensed person and after documented training and proof of competency 1. Takes medical histories 2. Administers basic first aid 3. Explains treatment procedures to patients 4. Prepares patients for examination 5. Takes vital signs 6. Assists the physician during exams 7. Collects and prepares laboratory specimens 8. Performs basic laboratory tests 9. Instructs patients about medication and special diets 10. Prepares and administers medications non- invasive medication as directed by a physician and supervised by a licensed person. 11. Operates office medical equipment 12. Removes sutures and changing dressings 13. Participates in periods of emergency 14.
