Company Overview:
A leading quantitative investment and financial technology firm based in New York, known for its use of data science, machine learning, and advanced technology to drive investment decisions across global markets. They are seeking an operational risk professional to lead and manage firm-wide operational and organizational risk.
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate in building a framework for performing control assurance testing for key business processes across the firm
Conduct control assurance testing, document current processes and controls, test control effectiveness, and identify control gaps or failures
Manage project collaborators with diverse agendas, drive meetings, develop consensus, handle project schedules, and apply standard project management processes
Partner with operational risk leads to manage and track status of remediation efforts
Build out reporting/dashboard infrastructure to provide operational risk metrics
Generate and distribute reporting and metrics for firm-wide and corporate risk
Qualifications:
8+ years of in-depth knowledge of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and standard processes in a large financial institution
Experience coordinating control testing engagements, with familiarity in coding and technology
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
Compensation:
Salary: $125,000 - $175,000
