Step into a hands-on laboratory role in a manufacturing environment where you'll learn, apply, and refine core technical skills. This is an excellent opportunity to build a solid foundation in laboratory operations while contributing to accurate testing and reliable data that support production and quality standards. No prior experience is required; training is provided.
As an Entry-Level Manufacturing Lab Technician, you will support daily lab activities under the guidance of experienced staff, working within established SOPs, maintaining precise documentation, and operating analytical instruments.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses following established SOPs and safety protocols
Prepare samples, reagents, and materials for testing with proper labeling, handling, and storage
Operate analytical instruments and assist with basic maintenance and calibration under supervision
Record test data and observations accurately in lab notebooks, logbooks, and electronic systems
Maintain lab organization and cleanliness, including proper waste handling and housekeeping
Follow OSHA and internal safety guidelines, including PPE use and hazard communication procedures
Promptly report equipment issues, deviations, or safety concerns to senior staff
Assist with data compilation and prepare simple reports or summaries for supervisor review
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Basic understanding of laboratory safety practices and OSHA compliance principles
Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and adhere strictly to SOPs
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements, data entry, and record keeping
Basic familiarity with measurement, calibration, and common analytical instruments
Ability to complete documentation and simple reports using standard templates
Comfortable in a structured, regulated environment with repetitive tasks
Effective communication skills and willingness to ask questions when needed
Availability for 12-hour shifts, Tuesday through Saturday, plus occasional overtime and after-hours support
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework in chemistry, biology, or a related science
Associate degree, certificate, or vocational training in laboratory science or a related field
Prior experience in an academic, research, manufacturing, or industrial lab (internships and work-study count)
Exposure to quality-controlled or regulated environments (ISO, GMP, or similar)
Basic spreadsheet skills for data logging and simple calculations
Familiarity with chemical handling, SDS, and labeling requirements
Completed OSHA or safety training modules
