Medical AssistantSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PMPay: $18/hour to start, with opportunities for certification and pay increasesAbout the OpportunityWe are seeking motivated, career-driven individuals who are pursuing a future in healthcare and looking to gain valuable hands-on clinical experience. This position is ideal for recent graduates pursuing medical school, physician assistant school, nursing school, or other advanced healthcare programs who need direct patient care and clinical hours.Working alongside physicians and experienced medical professionals in a specialty cardiovascular clinic, you will support patients throughout their entire visit while developing clinical, administrative, and medical documentation skills.ResponsibilitiesAssist patients from check-in through check-out to ensure a positive and seamless experienceRoom patients and collect vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical informationServe as a medical scribe during patient visits, documenting provider assessments and treatment plans in the electronic medical record systemPresent patient information and updates to providers before examinationsAssist physicians in coordinating follow-up care, referrals, laboratory orders, and treatment plansMaintain accurate and timely patient documentationSupport clinic operations while delivering excellent patient care and customer serviceFloat between clinic locations as neededQualificationsRequired: Bachelor's degree in a science or healthcare-related field such as: Biology, Integrative Physiology, Pre-Medicine, Pre-Health, Pre-Nursing, Similar life science disciplineStrong interest in pursuing advanced education within the healthcare fieldCommitment to remaining in the role for approximately 18-24 monthsExcellent communication, professionalism, and attention to detailStrong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environmentPreferred: Medical Assistant, scribe, healthcare, or patient care experienceExperience with Epic or other EMR systemsCoursework in anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, or related sciencesWhat You'll GainDirect patient care and clinical experience for future healthcare programsDaily mentorship and exposure to physicians and healthcare professionalsEmployer-sponsored Medical Assistant certification with pay increase upon completionClear growth path from trainee to primary Medical Assistant supporting a dedicated physicianCollaborative team environment with peers pursuing similar healthcare career goalsValuable networking opportunities within the medical fieldWhy This Role?This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates looking to build meaningful clinical experience while working directly with patients and providers. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
