Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Safety Specialist to support our workplace health and safety programs. The Safety Specialist will assist in promoting a safe work environment, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting inspections, and supporting employee safety initiatives. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to begin a career in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
Assist with incident, injury, and near-miss investigations.
Support compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation.
Participate in safety audits and corrective action follow-ups.
Assist with the delivery of employee safety training and orientation programs.
Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response planning.
Communicate safety policies and procedures to employees and contractors.
Assist leadership in developing and implementing safety improvement initiatives.
Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minor travel required (approximately 20%), with no weekend travel expected.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred.
Basic knowledge of workplace safety principles and regulations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred
OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour certification.
Internship or previous experience in manufacturing, construction, warehousing, or industrial environments.
CPR/First Aid certification.

Physical Requirements
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Ability to conduct facility inspections in office, warehouse, production, or field environments.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to work in varying environmental conditions as required.
