Working as part of the construction crew building and restoring streams and wetland projects using such methods as stream bank stabilization, floodplain restoration, regenerative storm water conveyance, and wetland mitigation.Please note that this position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with Kinsley Construction policies and procedures.Typical responsibilities/essential functions include:Following all project instructions from foreman or supervisor.Ability to read construction plans while following construction specifications.Performing daily inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and referring any defects and/or repairs to Operations.Safely and efficiently operating heavy construction equipment and trucks such as excavators, track trucks/offroad haul trucks, bulldozers, rubber tire loaders, compact track loaders, tractors and attachments for equipment.Installing stream and wetland stabilization structures such as boulder and log installation, rock cross vanes, boulder crops and outcrops toe, boulder clusters, rock and log J hooks, step pools, wood, etc.Safely operating a variety of tools including hand tools, chainsaws and miscellaneous power tools.Ensuring construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly.Assisting other team members while checking on grade of construction.Installing site erosion control measures and performing site stabilization as/when necessary.Following all OSHA, MSHA and site-specific safety requirements.Effectively communicating with other team members.Requirements include:Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation.Must be 18 years of age or older.1-2 years of relevant operating experience.Must be able to work out of town (Monday through Friday).Must be able to work in outdoor environments, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions.Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and meet necessary deadlines.Must have experience with hand tools associated with trade.Must follow all company rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, etc.We are an equal opportunity employer.
