Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Field Technician to join our team. We are a professional services firm providing environmental consulting services, including emergency response, project-specific testing, and laboratory analysis.

Shift: Day and evening hours with occasional weekend work and overtime.

Responsibilities

* Inspection and on-site monitoring for asbestos, mold, lead paint, and indoor air quality

* Conduct detailed surveys for asbestos, lead-based paint, and mold

* Perform air monitoring and contractor oversight during asbestos abatement projects

* Maintain, operate, and calibrate a variety of sampling and monitoring equipment

* Technical report writing and interpretation of analytical data

* Timeliness, time management, ability to meet deadlines, and responsiveness to emergencies are vital

* Assignments are of varying complexity and under the direction of a project manager

Skills & Qualifications

* Any certifications/licenses related to asbestos/lead paint/mold are desired

* Knowledge of general building mechanical systems and building construction

* High School or Mechanical/Trade School Diploma

* Associate or B.S. in Environmental Science preferred

* Exhibit clear, concise verbal and written communication skills

* General computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office

* Independent thinking and self-motivation are essential

Requirements

* Valid driver's license and ability to successfully pass pre-employment screening and physical

* Ability to commute to remote sites as needed (using own vehicle)

* Willingness to work limited weekends and second shift, including overtime as needed

* Willingness to learn, complete training, and obtain various certifications

* Ability to perform field work and meet physical demands

* Must be able to carry up to 30 lbs. of equipment and use ladders

* Must be a US citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
