ChristianaCare is seeking a dedicated Environmental Service Assistant I to help maintain a sanitary and healing space for our patients, visitors, and caregivers.
Position:Environmental Service Assistant I Location:Christiana Hospital - Newark campus Type:Full-Time (8-hour shifts/40 hours weekly) Schedule:3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Every other weekend & holiday

What You'll Do:
Ensure all patient, office, and hospital areas are clean and sanitary
Maintain equipment and supply closets in safe, orderly condition
Replenish paper and soap supplies
Safely clean/disinfect precaution rooms
Respond promptly to service requests via phone/text
Attend training sessions and report maintenance issues
Uphold a helpful, service-oriented attitude throughout your shift
Safely handle trash, linen, and soiled equipment
What You Bring:
Preferred:High school diploma & 2 years of customer service experience
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
Strong hygiene and confidentiality practices
Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout your shift
Comfort using smartphones/PDA for assignments
Additional Info:
Must be able to access organizational emails
Safety glasses required at all times
Potential exposure to infectious diseases (precautions provided)

This position has a starting rate of $17.80 per hour, regardless of prior experience. After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.90 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.93 per hour. This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
