Job description
The main function of the Electrophysiology Monitor is to provide assistance to the Electrophysiologist during EP studies, ablations, and cardiac implants. Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience is preferred but not required. Bloom stimulator experience is preferred but not required. The ability to implement EP pacing maneuvers and understanding is required. Experience with the Client (MacLab & CardioLab) system is required, to assist in pacing maneuvers and measurements.
Within the URMC, we coordinate care with multiple vendors including Carto, Client, Opal, and Affera in ablations, which the monitor will assist in setting up. Epic is the main way to document procedures within the lab. Epic experience is not required, but preferred. The role is responsible for communicating with the MD and in-room staff to ensure all equipment and supplies are available. The role assists in facilitating room turnover and on-time starts for timely patient care. Coordination with the Charge Nurse and third-party vendors is essential to ensure all team members are available for scheduled procedures.

Tech License: RCES or Radiologic Tech license or RN License (NY ONLY)
2 Years' experience
Job Certifications
BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
Preferred Experience
Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience
Experience with Client (MacLab & CardioLab) system
Experience with Bloom Stimulator
List of Typical Procedures Performed
PFA and RF ablations (Cryo ablations): A fib/Flutter, Atrial tachycardia, AVNRT, WPW, and other ANRT ablations. (Mapping Systems include Biosense Webster Carto, Abbott EnsiteX, Boston Sci Opal, and Healthcare Affera)
Device implants: Traditional pacemakers (single, dual, CSP, BiV) and ICD. Subcutaneous ICD, Leadless PPM, Loops, & LAAC: Watchmans and Amulets.
HRE: laser and low risk
A professional healthcare worker who is patient-focused and team-driven, with the ability to adapt to lab changes and help maintain a positive work environment.

Schedule
Primarily Days with some late night (evenings) and on call/call per unit needs. Either 4O10 or 3O12 hour shifts.
