Epic specialties | PB & Billig
Remote/hybrid/ onsite : Hybrid ( Expected to travel once a month onsite for 2 days)
Preferred time zone - PST
Key Responsibilities:
Configure and maintain EPIC PB and Claims module settings including charge router, fee schedules, billing workflows, and claim edits.
Collaborate with operational stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into system configurations.
Perform system analysis, testing, and validation to ensure optimal performance and accurate data flow within EPIC and between interfacing systems.
Troubleshoot billing and claims issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement configuration changes or enhancements.
Monitor system updates and new releases; participate in upgrade testing and deployment.
Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, workflows, and changes.
Provide user support and training on billing workflows and system functionality.
Ensure compliance with CMS regulations, payer rules, and industry standards in configuration and design.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
EPIC Certification in Professional Billing (PB) and/or Claims modules (required).
10+ years of experience configuring and supporting EPIC PB Billing and Claims modules.
In-depth knowledge of revenue cycle processes including charge capture, coding, billing, claim submission, and denials management.
Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Experience with SQL or reporting tools is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cross-functional teams involving clinical and administrative stakeholders.
Familiarity with additional EPIC modules (e.g., HB, Resolute, Prelude, or Cadence).
Prior experience with healthcare payer rules, contract management, or denial analytics
