Job description
The position is broadly responsible for thedevelopment and implementation of engineered industrial gas applications solutions for customers in the Food Processing industry, including equipmentdesign and engineering, estimating, planning, project management, supervisionof fabrication, installation, commissioning, and post installation support.
EssentialFunctions:
Develop conceptualdesign, cost estimate, and project schedule
Perform necessary design (CAD modeling) and engineering of equipment and systems
Perform process modeling and calculations
Develop and maintain process and flow diagrams, P&ID, assembly and detailed drawings, Bill of Materials, instrumentation lists, and equipment IOM Manuals
Prepare comprehensive technical proposals, bid packages and project schedules
Prepare key equipment specifications, work with Plant and Project Managers to fabricate, or competitively purchase key equipment
Develop purchase orders for equipment and fabrication services
Manage equipment fabrication and project budget
Perform factory and site checkout, QC, HAZOP, EMOC as required
Manage and physically participate in equipment and systems installation and startup
Provide post-installation troubleshooting and technical support
Maintain a high level of personal safety performance and regulatory compliance.
Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge,Skills and Abilities:
Understandcustomer’s specific application and process requirements.
Theindividual must be an experienced hands-on engineering professional withexcellent design, technical writing, and communication skills and must haveexperience working in or servicing the Food Processing Industry with apreference for experience in moving machinery equipment design, drafting,process automation, instrumentation, and PLC programming.
Industrialgases industry experience and in-depth understanding of cryogenics and foodprocessing applications that employ the use of cryogenic gases
Experienceproviding product and process application support in food freezing andchilling, Modified Atmosphere Packaging, and other applications utilizingindustrial and specialty gases would be helpful.
Excellentanalytical, conceptualizing, and reasoning skills with the ability to analyze,interpret, and create technical information
Excellentoral and written communications skills
Familiaritywith food industry hygiene, safety, regulatory codes and standards, NEC, CGA,ASM,
Computerskills including Autocad, MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, and Outlook
Education: The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in industrial, mechanical orchemical engineering (required)
Experience: 10+ years experienced hands-on equipmentengineer /designer with excellent engineering, AutoCAD, technical writing, and communication skills. Required experiencein the food processing or industrial gases industry. (required)
Annual Salary: $120,000 to $140,000 DOE.
