Utility PersonThe utility person position will perform cross-functioned duties in plant maintenance, production and equipment operation.Essential FunctionsAssist in plant operations including production, quality control, loading and shippingAssist with preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipmentMust be willing to cross train in all plant areasLearn to operate plant-specific mobile equipmentPerform daily pre/post-shift inspections on equipment and maintain the maintenance logMaintain good housekeeping in areas of responsibilityOther duties as assignedCompetenciesAttention to DetailSafety AcumenEthical ConductTeamworkHigh Sense of UrgencyDrive for ResultsRelationship BuildingWork EnvironmentThis job operates 100% of the time at a surface sand and gravel mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
