Job description
Equipment Operator
We are hiring an experienced Equipment Operator to support daily production and material-handling operations at a busy manufacturing facility in Columbus. This is a hands-on role for someone with forklift, Bobcat/skid steer, and baler operation experience who is mechanically inclined and comfortable working around industrial equipment.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, able to follow detailed instructions, and comfortable operating multiple types of heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
* Operate a variety of industrial and material-handling equipment
* Operate forklifts, Bobcats/skid steers, grapple buckets, and mini excavators
* Operate and monitor baling equipment
* Perform various production and material-handling duties as assigned
* Assist with basic equipment maintenance and upkeep
* Inspect equipment and report mechanical or operational issues
* Follow specific work instructions and production procedures
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
* Follow all company safety policies and applicable safety regulations
* Work effectively as part of a team while also completing tasks independently
* Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
* Previous forklift operation experience required
* Previous Bobcat or skid steer experience required
* Baler operation experience required
* Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify basic equipment issues
* Experience operating heavy or industrial equipment preferred
* Ability to follow detailed directions and established procedures
* Strong attention to safety and reliable work habits
* Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
* Willingness and ability to rotate shifts as required
