Job description
Equipment OperatorArcosa Aggregates is seeking an Equipment Operator based out of our Elizabeth, NJ location to transport materials throughout the facility on day/night shift in our East Region. This role is responsible for maintaining efficient production flow and supporting site safety, environmental, and operational goals.Day to DayActively promote and willingly support a safety conscious culture. Follow all safety regulations and company policies.Responsible for daily equipment greasing, morning "walk arounds" and fluid checks. Complete daily maintenance checklist to ensure your equipment is properly maintained, and to ensure the proper preservation of equipment maintenance records.Adjust hand wheels and depress pedals to control attachments such as blades, buckets, scrapers, and swing brooms. Start engines, move throttles, switches and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines such as bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders, graders and haul trucks.Other duties as assigned.About You1-2 years of experienceHigh school diploma or GED equivalentPrompt, regular, and predictable attendancePositive, team-based attitudeThe ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)Very organizedGood, detailed communication skillsWorking ConditionsWhile most areas have air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.Compensation$22.64 - $26.52 HRLYBenefitsArcosa is proud to offer competitive benefits and programs to help you and your family meet your healthcare and retirement planning needs.
