Job TitleAssists the asphalt and bridge crew with various tasks, while conducting a safe working environment and operating heavy machinery.Example Of DutiesDuties include but are not limited to: general labor in assisting the asphalt and bridge crew, including raking and shoveling asphalt, tree trimming, patching roads, and bridge repair.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required, and three months related experience, or a combination of education and experienceApplicant must have a valid class B CDL with tanker endorsement, or certification within 90 days of employmentSupplemental InformationStarting salary is $19.56-$23.35 per hour with excellent benefits, including sick pay, vacation, 13 paid holidays and 1 floating holiday, $0 premium for health plan, free employee health clinic, free telehealth and more!BenefitsBrazoria County is a local government entity that offers competitive salaries with an excellent benefits package, which includes: Government Pension through TCDRS with 7% fixed interest and a county match of 2:1 at retirement; we do not pay into Social Security but instead contribute to a 457 Deferred Compensation Plan as an additional savings for retirement (VOYA).
