Experienced Equipment OperatorExperienced equipment operator? Put your skills to work year-round. We're looking for an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team and take on an important role in both our landscape operations and snow-removal operation. This is not a position for someone learning equipment operation for the first time. We're looking for an operator who can confidently and safely operate heavy equipment, work independently, and step onto a job site ready to get the work done. The work changes with the seasons, giving you the opportunity to operate a variety of equipment and build on your skills throughout the year.What You'll DoSpring, Summer & Fall – Full Time SeasonalOperate skid steers, loaders, excavators, tractors, and other landscape equipmentLoad, haul, and place soil, mulch, gravel, rock, and other bulk materialsSupport landscape construction and maintenance crews with equipment and material handlingPerform grading, excavation, site preparation, backfilling, and cleanupOperate hydroseeders and other specialized landscape equipmentConduct daily equipment inspections and identify mechanical or safety concernsPerform basic equipment maintenance and keep machines clean, fueled, and job-readyWork efficiently while maintaining high standards for safety and qualityWinter Snow Removal – On-Call SeasonalOperate loaders, skid steers, tractors, and other snow-removal equipmentPlow and clear commercial parking lots, drive lanes, and other propertiesLoad and spread salt and other deicing materialsWork extended and flexible hours during snow events, including overnight, early morning, weekend, and holiday shiftsRespond safely and efficiently to changing weather and site conditionsWhat You BringHas 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in landscaping, construction, excavation, agriculture, snow removal, or a related industryHas hands-on experience operating equipment such as skid steers, loaders, excavators, tractors, or similar machineryCan confidently operate equipment safely and efficiently without constant supervisionUnderstands proper equipment inspection, operation, and basic maintenanceCan read a job site and determine the best way to approach the workIs mechanically inclined and able to identify equipment problems before they become bigger issuesHas a strong understanding of workplace and equipment safetyIs dependable, self-motivated, and takes pride in doing quality workWorks well independently and as part of a crewIs comfortable working outdoors in Minnesota's changing weather conditionsHas a valid driver's license and reliable transportationCDL Class A is preferred and may be needed for certain assignmentsWhy Join Us?Competitive pay: $28 - $45/hour based on experience and/or job assignmentOpportunities for overtime during peak seasons and snow events401k plan with company match after 1 year of servicePerformance reviewsAnnual boot reimbursementAnnual rain gear reimbursementCompany eventsOngoing training and developmentCareer advancementDJ's Landscape Management is a drug-free workplace.
