Job description

Equipment OperatorEagle Eye Electric, LLC (Eagle Eye) provides a full slate of construction, renovation, electrical services and environmental solutions to meet the needs of government and private-sector customers. We leverage this experience to our customers' advantage. Since 2001, Eagle Eye has operated throughout Alaska and has expanded into the Lower 48. We are a full-service general contractor and construction manager operating from Anchorage, Alaska, and Las Vegas, Nevada, and we provide services throughout the United States. Our senior management has more than 45 years of experience in government construction and environmental services and Eagle Eye and our sister companies currently hold 235 contracts primarily serving the U.S. Government.The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.Applicants will be notified via phone or email within ten (10) business days of submittal.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesEquipment Operator to operate large excavators, dozers, sheepsfoot rollers, articulated trucks, and front-end loaders.As necessary perform the duties of a Laborer.Maintain a safe work area.Communicate and work with the Project Support staff – QCM, SSHO, Superintendent, and surveyors.Communicate and professionally represent the Employer with government oversight personnel.Required (Minimum Necessary) QualificationsEducation Requirements: NoneLevel of Experience Requirements: 2+ years of demonstratable experience on levee repair, and levee construction in USACE projects.2+ years of demonstratable experience working riprap placement projects for USACE.Has completed a 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety Course.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other CharacteristicsExperience of operating heavy equipment; such as, excavators, dozers, front end loaders, and rollers to cut and restore river/creek banks at prescribed depths.Ability to use GPS enabled heavy equipment.Ability to plan the excavation and/or restoration of levees and maintain efficiency and a safe work area.Ability to read and interpret utility locate marks, field sketches and other work documents related to the areas being excavated.Ability to complete and file paperwork in an organized and legible form.PreferredN/ASupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position will not have supervisory responsibilities.DOT Covered/Safety-Sensitive Role RequirementsThis position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.Necessary Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Employees must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential and marginal functions require maintaining physical condition necessary for lifting, bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent outdoors with frequent opportunity to move about.Work EnvironmentThe work environmental characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the role. Employees must always maintain a constant state of situational awareness. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Physical Setting: The job is performed in an outdoor setting with exposure to all weather conditions – rain, snow, cold and hot temperatures. Requires an extensive amount of driving during each shift.Schedule and Flexibility: The work schedule will require working more than 8-hours per shift, nominally working Monday through Friday, work on weekends will be occasionally required, weather depending.Other Pertinent Work Details: The job requires the use of smart phones, cameras, tablets, GPS equipment in the field. The use of personal protective equipment is required – hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes, safety vests, hearing protection, etc.Additional Qualifying FactorsAs a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
