Job description
Equipment OperatorAspire Communications is a startup, turn-key technology integration company based in Orlando, Florida with roots in Southern California. Formed in September of 2019, Aspire has quickly grown into a 200+ person operation in less than five years and continues to rapidly expand.The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy machinery in support of telecommunications construction projects, including excavation, grading, and material handling. This role requires technical skill, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work closely with a broader field crew to keep projects on schedule.Primary responsibilities and essential functions include:Operate and maintain excavators, vacuum excavation trucks (VACs), guzzlers, and other heavy equipmentExecute digging, grading, and material-moving tasks efficiently and accurately, in line with project specificationsCollaborate with team members to ensure smooth and safe operations on the job siteConduct routine equipment inspections and perform preventive maintenance as neededIdentify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptlyAdhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, promoting a culture of safety among team membersAssist in the setup and breakdown of equipment as required for different projectsWork closely with project managers and supervisors to meet project deadlinesMaintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and job site activityQualifications and requirements include:Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferredProven experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, VACs, guzzlers, or similar machineryStrong mechanical aptitude and understanding of routine equipment maintenanceAbility to read and follow grading, depth, and alignment specificationsStrong safety mindset and familiarity with OSHA or industry safety standardsAbility to work effectively as part of a team in an outdoor field environmentComfortable working in varying weather conditions and terrainReliable, punctual, and able to meet project timelinesJob type: Full-timeSchedule:Monday–Friday, general business hoursAvailability to support work outside regular hours as project needs requireRegional travel may be requiredWhat we offer:Competitive salary and benefits packageMedical, dental, and vision coverageShort-term and long-term disability, plus voluntary life insurance buy-upPaid time off and parental leaveTeam-building eventsCareer growth opportunities within a fast-growing telecommunications companyA collaborative, dynamic work environment
