Job description

Role Overview

Apply your industry expertise to create forecasting and research data that helps evaluate and improve AI models performing real financial analysis. You will assess upcoming company events using only information available at a defined point in time, documenting the judgment a strong analyst would have made before the outcome was known.

Key Responsibilities

Map suppliers, customers, competitors, distributors, substitutes, and geographic exposure using EDGAR filings, footnotes, exhibits, earnings transcripts, and industry data.

Identify companies affected by an upcoming event and distinguish direct exposure from weak thematic correlation.

Estimate the likely direction, magnitude, time horizon, and confidence level of each impact, identifying the relevant revenue, margin, earnings, or valuation mechanism.

Review model-generated analyses and evaluate them against your own analytical standard.

Qualifications

Senior sector portfolio manager, lead equity analyst, or event-driven investor with deep expertise in a specific industry.

Hands-on experience mapping a company’s economic network from primary filings, rather than relying on screens or third-party tags.

Typically 8 or more years of directly relevant experience, or compelling evidence of equivalent performance.

Experience at multi-manager or event-driven funds, leading sector teams at major asset managers or banks, or specialist research firms is a strong initial signal. Direct experience and performance on the work sample determine qualification.

Work Terms

Remote, hourly engagement.

All work must follow the stated evidence cutoff and exclude hindsight, data leakage, confidential information, and material non-public information.

Compensation

$150 to $250 per hour.
