ER Admitting RepresentativeMission Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated ER Admitting Representative to join our team in Panorama City, CA. This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient admission process in our Emergency Room, providing compassionate support and accurate documentation that facilitates excellent patient care.ResponsibilitiesGreet and admit patients arriving at the Emergency Room in a professional and courteous manner.Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and personal identification, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate timely patient admissions and transfers.Maintain patient records and input data into hospital systems with attention to detail.Assist patients and families with questions and provide clear directions about the admission process.Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements pertaining to patient admissions.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare administration is a plus.Previous experience in hospital admissions, patient registration, or customer service preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.Proficiency with computer systems and patient management software.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and maintain composure under pressure.BenefitsCompetitive hourly wage ranging from $19.50 to $25.00.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.Paid time off and holiday benefits.Retirement savings plan with employer contributions.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.Supportive and collaborative team environment.Mission Community Hospital offers a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, 401(k), employer-paid life insurance, and additional voluntary benefits for eligible employees.Employment with Mission Community Hospital is at-will and may be terminated by either the employee or employer at any time, with or without cause or notice, in accordance with applicable law.
