Overview
Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Locum Tenens in Tracy, California. Advance your nursing career as a Travel ER RN in a busy community hospital in Tracy (ZIP 95376).
Assignment details: Location – Tracy, CA 95376; Unit – Emergency Room (ER); Assignment type – Locum tenens travel nursing contract; Start date – October 13, 2025; End date – January 12, 2026; Duration – 13 weeks; Shift – 12-hour days (07:00 – 19:30), 3 shifts per week; Hours per week – 36; Weekend coverage – Every other weekend and occasional back-to-back weekends; Orientation – 16 hours; Estimated weekly salary – $2030–$2170.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room.
Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for diverse emergency conditions.
Administer medications, IVs, and blood products.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services).
Utilize Epic charting system for accurate documentation.
Respond to trauma, cardiac, and other critical emergencies.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Participate in orientation and complete required e-learning modules.
Qualifications
Active California RN license (required for California nursing jobs).
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross).
Experience with Epic charting system (preferred).
Community hospital experience (required).
Patient ratio experience: 4:1.
Ability to care for all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics.
Available for lab work within 3–5 days of signing.
2 professional references from the past year (required).
Ability to float as needed.
Must be able to work at least every other weekend.
