nResponsibilities
nnnProvide technical oversight of the project's ES&H compliance activities through inspection of project field execution activities.
n
nnAssist project and construction management in implementing and complying with safety requirements and addressing ES&H issues during project execution.
n
nnWork with engineering, construction, subcontracts, procurement, project controls, and document controls teams to ensure ES&H requirements are integrated into their activities.
n
nnConduct daily site surveillance to verify the proper use of PPE, routine equipment inspections, and implementation of ES&H initiatives.
n
nnCoordinate a wide variety of Environmental, Safety, and Health disciplines to facilitate ES&H program and management system implementation.
n
nnDeliver toolbox talks and participate in site meetings to advise teams on safety requirements.
n
nnDevelop, implement, and maintain programs, systems, and procedures for employee safety and environmental protection.
n
nnMaintain ES&H databases, including incident events, audit findings, and corrective actions.
n
nnAnalyze ES&H data to identify performance trends and recommend improvements.
n
nnLead risk assessments, mitigation planning, and monitoring of ES&H issues.
n
nnCommunicate, prepare reports, and document program activities and records.
n
nnCoordinate incident notifications, lead investigations, and prepare incident reports.
n
nnRecommends and implements process improvements to minimize hazards.
n
nnParticipate in and potentially lead employee training, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance programs.
n
nnCoordinate ES&H recognition programs.
n
nnResearch and interpret regulations, providing technical advice on moderately complex issues.
n
n nRequirements
nnnBachelor's or Master's degree related to environmental, safety, health, or science disciplines.
n
nn8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
n
nnKnowledge of OSHA 1926 and 1910 required.
n
nnUnderstanding of Bechtel's ESH Core Processes (preferred).
n
nnExperience performing root cause analysis for incident investigations.
n
nnConducting Project Contractor Orientation.
n
nnLeading and implementing Project ESH Audits and corrective action monitoring.
n
nnCoaching contractors on Bechtel processes and safety expectations.
n
nnKnowledge of safety programs, regulations, industry standards, and best practices for minimizing ES&H risks during construction.
n
nnExperience managing or overseeing ES&H subcontractors or consultants.
